JESUS WON THE BATTLE OF GOOD AND EVIL Q: When Jesus took the human form, did He win the battle of good and evil with Satan? A: Yes, He won the battle at the cross of Calvary when He said, “It is finished.” John 19:30. The battle had been won….Satan was defeated, and he knew that his kingdom was lost. DA 758. Q: How long did it take for Satan and Christ to win their respective kingdom? A: Satan fought for 1,260 years from 538 AD to 1798 (Dan. 7:25) before he was able to establish or give power to his right hand, the beast. Jesus recovered the remnant only for 3.5 years, from his baptism in 27 AD to 30.5 AD = 3.5 years. (Dan. 7:25; Rev. 11:3; 12:6). Then He went to His Father in heaven to prepare a place for His beloved people on earth. Q: How come Christ’s Kingdom is falling as we come near the end? A: According to our last prophet, Ellen G. White, the church seems to fall but it will not fall. 2 SM 380. Q: What will happen to the church if it won’t fall? A: The different Christian churches throughout the world (including SDA) or the 7 churches in Revelation chapters 2 & 3 will develop into two divisions within each church: the wheat and the tares, according to the parable of Jesus in Matthew 13:24-30. The Wheat will give straight testimony or time prophecy for the nearness of Christ’s coming (Isa. 8:20) and because the tares will be greater in number and will certainly oppose their testimony, the Wheat will be shaken out. This is the testimony of Mrs. Ellen White: “I asked the meaning of the shaking I had seen and was shown that it would be caused by the straight testimony (Isa. 8:20) called forth by the counsel of the True Witness (the time prophecies from Daniel & Revelation) to the Laodiceans. This will have its effect upon the heart of the receiver, and will lead him to exalt the standard and pour forth the straight truth (effect of the testimony or time prophecy in the most holy place for the wheat inside the church). Some will not bear this straight testimony (or the time prophecy of the most holy place). They will rise up against it, and this is what will cause a shaking among God’s people. EW 270.
