JKLF VICE CHAIRMAN SHOWKAT AHMAD BAKHSHI ARRESTED IN A NOCTURNAL RAID, SHIFTED TO ISLAMABAD JAIL…..JKLF DELEGATIONS VISIT SRINAGAR, KUPWARA AND SONAWARI AREAS…APPEAL PEOPLE TO BOYCOTT UPCOMING ELECTION Jammu Kashmir liberation front (JKLF) vice chairman Showkat Ahmad Bakhshi was arrested by police in a nocturnal raid.He was kept at police station Bemina for some time and now has shifted him to Islamabad jail. By arresting Showkat Sahib Police has almost detained the totalleadership of JKLF. police has so far detained dozens of JKLF leaders and hundreds of its well-wishers and activists across Kashmir valley including JKLF chairman Mohammad Yasin Malik ,vice chairman advocate Bashir Ahmad Bhat, vice chairman master sheikh MohammadAfzal, secretary general engineer Ghulam Rasool Dar Eidi, zonal deputy chief organizer Siraj Ud Din Mir, Zonal president Noor Mohammad Kalwal, zonalsenior vice president Mohammad Yasin Bhat, zonal press secretary Mohammad Ashraf Dar, District presidents Bashir Ahmad Boya, Rafiq Ahmad War and JavedAhmad Butt, sectary Ganderbal Gayas ud din, Abdul Hamid, Mohammad Sultan Wani ,Mohammad Akbar ,Fayaz Ahmad , Aakif Ahmad, Mudasir Ahmad ,Parvaiz Ahmad and Mohammad Himayoon etc.Despite police crackdown on JKLF, leaders and activists continued their election boycott campaign today in Kupwara, Srinagar and Bandipora. Delegation led by JKLF zonal chief organizer Bashir Ahmad Kashmiri visited Guru bazaar, Chinkral Mohalla and Nawab bazaar in Srinagar ,delegation led by district president Bandipora Syed Nisar Jeelani and Mushtaq Ahmad Wani visited Ganastan and Anqul in Sonawari whereas delegation led by Abdul Majeed and Mushtaq Ahmad visited Kandi, Dragmola, Keegam, Waterkhan,Jagripora,Lilam,and Tarethpora in Kupwara . Leaders went door to door and asked people to boycott upcoming election drama which was being staged through unilateral state sponsored violence. Whilespeaking to people of these areas, JKLF leaders said that police and forces have unleashed a reign of terror against JKLF and other resistance parties and youth and this unilateral state sponsored violence is a glaring example of the fact that in Kashmir if anyone is indulging in politics of violence, it is the rulers and politicians backed by India. Leaders askedpeople to stay away from these elections as these where only against the interests of Kashmiris.JKLF has expressed its grief and sorrow over the sad demise of uncle of activist Reyaz Ahmad Malik of Addabal Dooru. A front delegation comprising of district president Islamabad Mohammad Ishaaq Ganai, Master Syed Muzafar and Mushtaq Ahmad Kuchay visited the bereaved family and expressed solidarity with them. Ends
