JMIAA-Riyadh Meeting (Advisory, Executive and Cabinet) I am delighted to present the highlights of the Second Advisory, Executive and Cabinet Meeting held on 20th March in Riyadh. A total of 41 Members attended the Second Advisory, Executive and Cabinet Meeting on 20 Mar 2014 and discussed the outlines of the upcoming event – A Jamia Campus across the Sea – on 11 Apr in Riyadh. The suggested changes in the draft of the JMIAA Charter were also discussed. Seven members of the Advisory Committee, who attended an Advisory meeting for the first time since recent elections in Jan 2014, were introduced to other fellow members. Captain and Vice Captain of JMIAA Alumni Cricket Team, Moin Ahmad and Nisar Ahmad Khan Ahmed gave a brief Power Point presentation on the performance of the Team. Based on the Cabinet’s suggestions as how to execute the event - A Jamia Campus across the Sea -and generate its budget, Gen Sec Abid Aqeel prepared a Power Point presentation which was given by President Ghizal Mahdi There will be 400 Plus participants, including above three hundred Jamiaites and their immediate family members. The guest list would include representatives of other important associations in Riyadh, press persons, principals of Indian schools, representatives of Indian schools management committees and official of Riyadh Cricket league. Chief Guest and Guest of Honour will be high ranking Jamia Alumni serving JMI The total cost of the event, around SR 37,400, will be borne exclusively by the Associations’ members themselves. A painting competition will be held during the event on 11 Apr 2014 for the students ranging from Nursery to class 12. The draft Charter of JMIAA, which will be presented on 11 April before General Body for approval, was discussed as per agenda of the meeting. The final draft for the approval of General Body would incorporate the inputs and suggestions given in this meeting. Captain Moin Ahmed, on behalf of JMIAA Cricket Team, generously donated SR 2000 to the Association for its upcoming event. Ghufran Ahmad, Nisar Khan contributed more than their due share.
