JOB DESCRIPTION JOB TITLE: CHARITY WORKER – COMBINED GENERAL MANAGER/ADVISOR Division/Department: Cash Cage Location: Casino Dene Name of Incumbent: Reports To: Gail Muskego Title: Executive Director Level/Grade: Entry-level Mid-level Supervisory/Managerial/Executive Type of position: Full-time Part-time Shift: 4 days on 8 days off (121 days/year) JOB PURPOSE The General Manager/Advisor (GM) shall promote and maintain the utmost integrity and security with the highest caliber of customer service to all internal and external patrons of the Casino Dene. The GM is responsible for the daily overseeing and monitoring of all functions for all aspects of conducting and managing the charitable event. The GM must adhere to all rules and regulations set forth by the company, the department and the Alberta Gaming & Liquor Commission (AGLC), while ensuring the policy of confidentiality within the company is adhered to at all times DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Maintain a valid AGLC license Is held responsible and accountable for all matters relevant to the operation of the Cash Cage (table games) Reports to the CLFN Casino Society Executive Director Assist in coordinating the training within the departments, ensure that they have sufficient knowledge and skills to efficiently and effectively complete duties Attend Charity General Manager/Advisor meetings Schedule meetings with charity staff The job description for the General Manager/Advisor shall be, but not limited to, the following: Daily supervision of the Cash Cage (table games) Responsible for the safeguard of all table casino assets (i.e. cash, chips, etc) Prepare shift rosters as required, to maximize the department’s resources to ensure all work priorities under normal and excessive workload conditions are met Ensure all accounting procedures are adhered to by all department personnel Ensure the departments are in compliance with AGLC, Casino Internal Controls, and all department policies Ensure that all equipment is operational and maintained to optimum standards To perform other duties in the departments, as required Consult with the Casino or Games Manager Enter appropriate information in the Casino Track system (staff names, opening and closing balances, etc) Witnesses interim and final pull of drop boxes CLFN Casino Society Box 989, Cold Lake, AB, T9M 1N1 Ph: (780) 594-3403 Fax: (780) 594-2462 Email: [email protected] Cold Lake First Nations Casino Society CGMA Job Description Page 2 8/8/2013 Perform duties of the charity workers as needed Sign appropriate reports (i.e. Discrepancy Reports, etc.) Ensure deposit is secure in safe Investigate fully any error, procedure irregularity or other breach of the CTCOG or the HFNCCPH and report to the AGLC and Executive Director KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED Previous management experience is an asset Must have successfully passed the AGLC Advisor examination Must submit to and satisfactorily complete a due diligence investigation undertaken by the AGLC Working knowledge of the CTCOG’s is an asset Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing To logically and independently plan, organize, and complete work assignments in a timely manner Ability to perceive quality of work, read material and review documents, receive instructions Ability to work effective and efficiently both independently and as part of a team Possess high-quality interpersonal skills Set and achieve high standards of performance and customer service skills (internal & external) Complete training course(s) offered by the Casino To fully understand and have the ability to complete all duties within the departments Comprehend and apply all Casino, and Cash Cage policies and procedures The capabilities to multi task under time constraints Wide range of computer knowledge of different programs (word, excel, power point) Perform job tasks and remain vigilant in the event of an emergency REPORTING REQUIRMENTS Work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health & Safety Act (OHSA), regulations and internal health and safety policies/procedures including any departmental policies Report to Executive Director any contravention of the OHSA regulations, or Casino safety policies and procedures within the department Report to the CLFN Casino Society any contravention of the OHSA regulations, or Casino safety policies and procedures within the department DO NOT remove or make ineffective any protective device DO NOT use or operate any equipment, machine, device or otherwise work in a manner that may endanger anyone. Use equipment and material only in the manner intended Attend required safety training programs and apply the knowledge gained from these training sessions WORKING CONDITIONS AND/OR PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS 3:00 p.m.daily to close.
