JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title: Social Organizer Project Title: Provision of WASH Services into Flood Affected Communities in Jampur. Duty Station: Jampur Reporting Line: Social Mobilization Officer Department: Programme Salary: Up to PKR 45,000/- Per Month (depend upon skills and experience) Project Duration: 9 Months (Fixed Term) Qualification and Experience: Master Degree in Social Sciences/ Sociology with 2-4 year experiences in the relevant field Key Expectations: The position is expected to implement and coordinator with communities according to WASH/ CLTS approach in a timely & successful manner and as per the guidelines and requirements shared in the PCA and provide by Project Manager. Major Responsibilities: • Ability to speak and listen well in local languages, and the national language • Ability to stand in front of a group without showing fear or arrogance • Ability to learn mobilization skills • A desire to contribute to national development through community empowerment • Strong morals viz. honesty, transparency, generosity, altruism and respect • Well motivated, team member able to work alone and/or without supervision • Ability to observe and analyse social indicators • Willingness to undertake further training offered by and required by the program • Conduct all kind of assessments needed for project implementation • Organize events(Monthly School family day/Children competition) • Submit work plans & activity reports • Ensure timely submission of weekly/monthly work plans • Develop & submit fortnightly work plans & daily activity report • Get every work plan & report signed by the line manager Personal Attributes: • Ability to read and write well in local languages, and the national language. • Computer skills or potential to learn them, focus on word processing • Internet skills or potential to learn them; focus on research (and email) • Language: Urdu and English is compulsory both reading and writing General Responsibilities: • To adapt to the changing environment of NGO sector and forces of the competitive world. • To maintain constructive, purposeful, trust based and sincere relations with all colleagues working above or under whether directly or indirectly associated. • To continuously upgrade own knowledge, skills, attitude and application to become more valuable member of MAP family. • To update management and other concerned with any development, internal or external, which can be of help to improve quality, provide better services and effectiveness and efficiency. • To participate in all meetings, committees, forums, projects and assignments as required and expected. • To continuously think for betterment of MAP, its progress and its ability to fulfill its mission. • To maintain highest standards of honesty and integrity in all disciplines.
