JOB TITLE SENIOR DIRECT SALES CONSULTANT LOCATION SANDTON INDUSTRY FINANCIAL SERVICES OVERVIEW OF ROLE: This role is individually accountable for setting, managing and monitoring new business targets per sales consultant, over periods of 3 months to 1 year. This includes ensuring the region meets its target and expense constraints. MAIN ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Sets and monitors for sales activities for deals emanating from the corporate segment including the major deals (top 100 S.A. organisations) • Has a strong relationship and networking focus, establishing and maintaining relationships to accomplish sales targets • Deals regularly with Corporate Executives • Understands markets, economic and political opportunities in the region. Builds and develops a pipeline of prospective clients in the Corporate space • Ensures compliance with financial services regulations • Interacts and participates in product development forums with back office staff • Represents and positions diverse customer needs within the product development process Business Risk: • Manages and minimises the business risks in the region • Ensures compliance with financial services regulations Marketing/Networking: • Has a strong relationship and networking focus, establishing and maintaining relationships to accomplish organisational goals, through dealing with Corporate Executives • Builds and develops a pipeline of prospective clients in the Corporate space • Interacts and participates in product development forums with back office staff and represents and positions the diverse customer needs within the product development process Sales/ Productivity: • Ensures the region meets its target and expense constraints through others, over periods of 3 months to 1 year • Responsible for Sales Activities with all deals emanating from the corporate segment including the major deals (top 100 S.A. organisations) • Understands markets, economic and political opportunities in the region and deals with environmental treats Team Effectiveness: • Individually accountable for others time, tasks and output quality, over periods of three months to one year • Balances own priorities with directing and motivating others • Plans & assigns work over periods of up to three months • Creates a climate for optimal performance SCOPE: Full-time position REQUIREMENTS: QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: • Relevant tertiary qualification • Minimum of 3-5 years experience in more than one discipline • Previous management experience • FAIS Accredited SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES Sales Ability: • Develop approaches that best position products, services and financial advice to prospective clients to illustrate the client value proposition.
