This post represents an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to join a successful team in Keele University’s Planning and Academic Administration Directorate. The Directorate is responsible for a number of functions, including UK/EU Admissions for both Undergraduate and Postgraduate (taught & research) study, key to ensuring the successful delivery of the University’s strategic ambitions. Are you innovative, flexible and have excellent attention to detail? Do you have experience of proactively managing admissions processes? Do you have the enthusiasm and communication skills to raise awareness and promote best practice in response to internal business needs and external requirements? You will need to be able to respond to business changes quickly and have the ability to continually monitor and improve business processes in an ever changing environment with a focus on electronic and automated solutions. Candidates will combine experience of managing a Higher Education admissions service with a proven ability to manage a fast changing environment and excellent staff management skills. Policy development skills, experience of using student databases and student record systems (e.g. SITS, Banner etc) and understanding of Higher Education funding are also essential. You will be able to manage a diverse workload and evaluate performance in relation to quality standards. Discretion and enthusiasm to deliver change will be critical to ensure success in this role.
