JOINT PRESS RELEASE ON MEDIA REPORT over NTV Uganda buying NBS Television Over the past few days, the social media and a section of print and electronic media have been reporting on the above foresaid. The reports are false and baseless and are meant to confuse the public on the said takeover of NBS Television by NTV Uganda. Management of both stations hereby clarify that no takeover or sale of NBS Television to NTV Uganda has occurred. Management of NBS Television and NTV Uganda further clarify that no negotiations over the acquisition of NBS has taken place. These rumors should be treated as malicious propaganda and should be dismissed with the contempt they deserve. However it is important to note that the two stations have agreed to work together to jointly sell their TV products to specific clients. Any publication or broadcast of such malicious propaganda should stop immediately and publication by any person or company on social media or mainstream media shall face legal consequences within the laws of Uganda. Whoever has published the same should offer a written apology within seven days otherwise legal action will be instituted against them.
