JOKER Press Release 15/1/2015 (English version) JOKER’s ‘First’ Music to be released in 2015 along with new material The first years of JOKERs original music of Melodic Hard Prog with english lyrics is not wide known, (watch video: “JOKER - Jokers (Demo 1991)”). Many of these Demos, (and some rare video footage!), are getting remastered and some of the songs are getting re-recorded, (for a 2015 release most probably). While JOKER achieved success and household fame as a unique Greek-lyric Melodic Metal act, (with their 1997 album Skandalo and their great metal ballad Pare me makria), and a huge reputation as a mesmerising live act – vibrant to this day, the more-or-less 19-year-olds of these early recordings are still raising a big what if to many afficionados of Greek Rock History. (“What if this JOKER material came first?”, for starters). But while almost all of the bands of that period really quite disappeared, JOKERs thousands of celebrated shows speak for themselves, adding more passionate fans each year. Theyre still a top live act on the rise, packing the live stages of Athens - and always releasing original music with Melody, Great Guitar & Vocals and Prog twists.
