JOURNAL of LEARNING Upon rendering the church involvement, I felt shy at first. However as weeks of rendering service passed, little by little I loved what I do. I got to know the people working with me; I felt their warm welcome. I felt the sense of belonging as if we are all one family (which is true in the eyes of God). For my observation, our parishs organization of task was equally distributed. They set up their schedules like whos gonna be the choir, lectors and commentators a month before their service. That was the reason why I only got the chance to be the encoder inside the office and an ostiarette during mass. But dont belittle my task in my church involvement. It was a challenging one too. In encoding, I should not commit errors either in typing or writing because what I do is already part of history. I encode names of those who had their baptism, received their sacrament of confirmation including their addresses, birthdays, parents, even their godmothers and godfathers. It was a difficult task too. I am glad too help them since they were only about transferring names into a specific book in the year 1980s (which is really an old one). Well, still a lot to work on since its already 2013. I realized that even if I have many things to do: bonding with family since its a Sunday, prepare for quizzes especially for my accounting subject, and do my homeworks, rendering service wont do any harm. In fact, it will help you feel contented and happy. Just like what it did to me. :)
