JOhn from Salem Or. I need some help. I have a Fender J bass and P bass that sound great as Fenders do. The issue Im having is that when I play fast the strings have a tendancy to hit the fretboard and create a noticable tapping sound that is rather annoying. I have tried raising the strings but when I get them high enough to stop the noise they are too high to play comfortably. Anyone ever have this happen? Is there a work around?
