JOne Tuisawau 35 mins Water Authority of Fiji (WAF) general manager, Fane Vave, has really let the cat out of the bag. She’s admitted that new water meters are needed to give accurate measures of water households have used. So what happens to all the water bills which people complained about? That’s what we’re all waiting to hear. A lot of people have been forced to pay bills based on faulty readings. Some of the worst of these readings have been over-turned, but a lot of people paid unfair bills. Why can’t they get their MONEY back? And what happens between now and when the water bills are replaced? The Minister for Public Enterprise who called all the shots in WAF for past 6 years should be answering these questions, not Fane Vave.
