JULY’S MEETING DEMONSTRATOR: GILL McGREGOR TITLE OF DEMONSTRATION: “Summer Sensation” We had a wonderful evening this month with Gill McGregor. Her choice of plant material was fantastic as were the wonderful containers she used. The six arrangments she produced for us were wonderful and I am sure we will be inviting her back to dem for us again. As well as a very talented demonstrator she is also a wonderful story teller. I think we all sat in awe while she told us how she whiles away the hours spent in A&E (she admits she is very accident prone!) and how, at a wedding where she fixed the Bride’s bouquet after it fell apart as the Bride walked down the Isle, she got seated opposite the unfortunate florist who made the said bouquet ! In all ways, Gill was a very entertaining lady. COMPETITION: This month’s competition was again well represented with imaginative designs. The title was “Exotic Location ”. It was lovely to see a new entry this month, so well done. COMPETITON RESULTS: Advanced: 1st : Audrey Harris with 10 points Joint 2nd: Lynda Hancox, Liz Lewis and Anne Garneys all with 9 points 3rd: Pauline Green with 7 points Intermediate: 1st : Dawn Bibby-Caroen with 10 points Novice: 1st: Glynis Honeyman with 10 points 2nd : Pauline Wells – with 9 points Best in Competition – Glynis Honeyman The next meeting is on August 8th Demonstrator: Julia Knights Title of Demonstration: “Glamour at the Movies” Competition Title: “A Flim Title” Guests: £3.50 ALL WELCOME
