...JUST A THOUGHT ON SUNDAY MORNING... I understand your concerns as well as the trajectory of your agitations. Such is supposed to be the situation with anyone having a really genuine concern for Nigeria, especially when you know how richly blessed Nigeria is, apart from the Leadership. But Bro, that Nigeria is perhaps damaged beyond repair is an understatement. As a matter of fact, the spanners in the act and art of the damage, that is, the instruments employed in the damaging is still on-going, non-stop, full-steam. What that implies is that we are yet to even commence with an iota of ideas and opportunities on what it takes in getting the Nigeria Nation on the path of recovery. All we are seeing and witnessing is a building of, and an accumulation of empires. Individual gains... . Lets take the past 30 years as a block of referencial period. It sounds like yesterday. Right ? When you mention 1985, it doesnt sound that long. But putting a figure on it, 30 years ago [forget about 2014...focus on 2015 please]. Thats how long it has taken to bring Nigeria to its present state of hopelessness. You have perhaps read about the Ekiti Drama. Now, the Senate President said nobody can stop the inauguration of the chief actor, in spite of the nauseating state of the horribilis. I want to assume that even include the rule of law. Listen carefully, does anyone need a shred of a brain cell to realise that if the someone is allowed to get away with that infamous desecration of the Temple of Justice, as terribly bad as witnessed, it will be a referencial in every law courts in Nigeria when a case of the like comes up, and perhaps an act that signals the expectations for 2015 ? Thats how Nigeria is managed by the Board of Trustees, Nigeria Nation Plc. With that drama, how can any sane person conclude these is the best man for the job? When you unleash evil over a group of both ignoramus, suspecting, as well as unsuspecting people, no amount of steel doors, and in weight and dimensional thickness can prevent a visitation of evil to your domain. That is what Nigeria has turned out to be, and as long as the powers that be can use that power the way they want, the way it suits them, so as to achieve the end result, nothing else matters. Remember Nigeria has No decent portable water. No Electricity. No Good Roads. Forget about the availability of reliable medical facilities. Dont think about education system reliability. Security is never gonna be guaranteed. Not to bore you silly, just imagine every indices that constitute and add value to human life in the Western World, as not being there / available. All those life enhancing facilities which you do not have to think about, is daily and 24 by 7 uppermost on the mind of every Nigerian. Now, lets fast forward to the next 30 years, and the perspective is such that anyone who is 30 years of age now, will be knocking on the door of 6. Equally, for every 40 year old Nigerian, that means the grand old age of 70 will be it! If it has taken the last 30 years to damage Nigeria this much, the next 30 years will not be sufficient to effect a resuscitation. Meanwhile, the definitive process of resuscitation has not even commenced. The foundation hasnt being laid. The bitter truth and which lots of people reading this will find hard to swallow is that Nigeria cannot recover in our lifetime. I am not an agent of doom but I love saying it the way it is. There are people who can do it. Allowing them to get there is another matter. There is a State with dual carriage ways unending, Street Light that compares to Queen Elizabeth Bridge on Dartford Crossing, Hospitals have been brought back to life, School have been made to look like schools were and used to be when we attended Primary and Secondary schools those days, Wireless and Internet / Broadband facilities, Structural landmarks, and just name it...In spite of all of the above and much more, the powers that be are engineering the replacement of the CEO .. There are people who can do it. Allowing them to get there is another matter. There is indeed a definitive problem with the brain of a black man. You may as well search for Bothas thinking along these line. Our ways and actions tend to ratify their hypothesis...Look at this... Black People are Less Intelligent, Says Dr. James Watson ... mightyminnow.wordpress/.../black-people-are-less-intelligent-says-... With reference to the General Buharis of Nigeria, the fact is there is no way a 70 year old can cope with the demands of a State, not to even mention all that is involved in the management of Nigeria Plc. If the strategy is to wrestle power off the principality and the mosterous ruling party, I hope and pray it works. The General should have mentored and replicated himseil in younger generation. A massive failure. Sadly, the younger generation are so lost and incapable that they believe the General is the only way out.
