JUST A THOUGHT: Yesterday there was a big event in Macau to mark the 25th anniversary of the killing of protesters during the Tiananmen Square in 1989 (300-1,000 dead, estimate only). This was an atrocity and I pray for the dead. However, I dont know why people around here dont hold similar event to mourn the dead on other political events that led to more serious suffering and death toll? Why dont we all come out to mourn on 14 and 15 August to mark the end of World War II in Asia (Chinese death around 10,000,000 to 20,000,000)? Why dont we come out on December 13th every year, to mourn for the 300,000 dead during the The Nanking Massacre where Japanese troops committed mass killing and rape in the city? I dont really see anyone holding such event here in Macau on the 14-15 of August nor do I see anyone on the street on the 13th December. Why? If you want to write the truth and make the story right for 6/4, then I would suggest the public also come out on the 14-15 of August and 13th December because a lot of the historical aspects are being denied by the Japanese in their history books. Many people died, tortured, held as political prisoners, etc. There is a bigger story to make right too. I just wonder how much of what I am seeing is political and how easy it is to lure the younger generation into supporting political groups and agenda via the rebellion attitude in nature that most of us have when we are young? If you want to organise more events to show your respect and love to those who died in serious atrocities, here I have a long list for you all to consider (locals and non-locals who live here in Macau). en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_wars_by_death_toll en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_wars_and_anthropogenic_disasters_by_death_toll en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Protest en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Protest
