JUST IN: NIGERIAN TROOPS IN FIERCE BATTLE AGAINST BOKO-TERRORISTS AT DAMATURU...... AIRFORCE JETS DEPLOYED News filtering in state, Nigerian troops are currently repelling boko-terrorists fighters who attacked and attempted capturing Damaturu, in Yobe, yesterday Sunday. The Nigerian army announced this through a message on social media. “Nigerian Airforce jet arrives Damaturu, currently repelling Boko Haram,” the military wrote on @HQNigerian Army, its Twitter handle. Residents of Damaturu, capital of Yobe state, woke up today, Monday to the sounds of gunshots and explosions. A security official said, suspected Boko terrorists attacked the town late Sunday. There is serious exchange of gunfire, but there is a combined effort to prevent them. A resident, who volunteered to speak on telephone ended the call abruptly, as sounds of gunshots rent the background. Recall, unlike Adamawa and Borno, Yobe has recorded the least attacks among the three worst-hit states affected by insurgency. Victory is sure for Nigerias troops.
