JUST THE FACTS: Mayor Wharton went on the news and requested that the citizens of Memphis come downtown to tell him how to solve his crises of leadership. Well, I dont think that is exactly the way HE worded it!!! ;) The meeting is Tuesday morning at 8am. They are allowing 12 speakers, 12 minutes a piece. The sign up was on a first come, first serve basis. In my humble opinion, it will be basically a dog and pony show just to say they gave Joe Public an opportunity to speak!!! Regardless, I was contacted by a small group of everyday citizens who got a timeslot and have worked VERY hard on a proposal. There are 11 others doing the same thing. I was only invited as a courtesy because there are a few folks out there who have faith in me and my character. Russell & I attended together!!! He was the only man!!! BLESS HIS HEART!!! :) This group has spent 3 days looking for excesses in the 400+ page budget!! That takes true commitment!!! To leave that meeting and find folks arguing over a cupcake post that I deleted is very disturbing, but I have been to the mountaintop and I will not be discouraged. I will continue this fight without bullying others, calling names or making false accusations!!! All those who are like minded, please HELP!!! We NEED your help!!!
