Jaazer- A town on the east side of Jordan, in or near Gilead, Jaazer translates as "Jehovah help." It is first mentioned in possession of the Amorites. Then it is taken by Israel after Heshbon, on their way to Bashan. This town is located on the east side of Jordan in northeast Africa (Num.32:1,3; 1 Chron.26:31).-21:32 Now the children of Reuben and the children of Gad had a very great multitude of cattle: and when they saw the land of Jazer, and the land of Gilead, that, behold, the place was a place for cattle; Ataroth, and Dibon, and Jazer, and Nimrah, and Heshbon, and Elealeh, and Shebam, and Nebo, and Beon, Among the Hebronites was Jerijah the chief, even among the Hebronites, according to the generations of his fathers. In the fortieth year of the reign of David they were sought for, and there were found among them mighty men of valour at Jazer of Gilead. And Moses sent to spy out Jaazer, and they took the villages thereof, and drove out the Amorites that were there.
