Jack Sowell..... I grew up in Forest Hills. Forest Drive was the first (dirt) road and our house was the first one in the subdivision. Dad had to go to Charlotte to get a mortgage loan because the banks in LA told him, The property was too far out of town. It became our stomping grounds. I rode my bike where the Episcopal Church is now and it was only woods. That neighborhood helped mold my life. The neighbors that we had, are still friends, and always will be. His children were/still are some of my best friends. Jack and Sue Sowell built 2 homes on that same street. I remember that they had a pedaled Surry with the Fringe on Top, so fun. Jack Sowell will be missed. Rest in Peace. Prayers for Sue and her family.......
