Jackie Chan Not Dead 2013 – False Death Story Strikes Actor ST LOUIS (LALATE) – Jackie Chan is not dead 2013. A fake Jackie Chan death story in 2013 struck the actor earlier this year, fueled by erroneous Facebook RIP death pages as well. Those false stories are resurfacing yet again today, nearly six months later. Jackie Chan has not died this 2013. But over the years, Jackie, his representatives and even his fans have been instrumental in shooting down these fabricated death tales. But another attempt to falsely kill off the actor is happening again today. Before January 2013, the last major spreading of fake Chan death reports was two years ago. And despite the passage of time, much the same fake tales being used today are re-workings of those 2011 false reports. In 2011, Chan was displeased by a false report claiming that he had died of heart attack. His rep in an unusual move even took to Facebook to denounce the erroneous report. “Jackie is alive and well and working hard on his next movie!” his rep told news. “Don’t believe the latest death rumors.” Much of today’s confusion stems from those fake 2011 heart attack reports. But another culprit is striking the actor today as well: Mediafetcher. Whether it’s Lil Wayne or Morgan Freeman, Mediafetcher aka Global Associated has for years been littering fans with fake celebrity death stories. While the stories are all the same (car crashes, plane crashes, hiking and snowboarding accidents), and none of them are new, Mediafetcher uses a dynamically changing template. It regenerates the current date to make the story appear to be from today. It then replaces one person’s name with another. So if you are Eddie Murphy or Will Smith, you might just end up in the same MediaFetcher story today, tomorrow and all week long, fictitiously climbing the same mountain. But Today’s victim is Jackie Chan. MediaFetcher claims that Jackie was in “Kitzbühel, Austria early this morning” filming a movie and hiking. Chan however isn’t in Kitzbühel, nor is Will Smith or Eddie Murphy. The fake Mediafetcher story claims that Chan fell to his death hiking. But Chan is very much alive. The fabricated tale reads “Preliminary reports from Austrian Police officials indicate that the actor fell more than 50 feet to his death in a remote area of the Hahnenkamm mountains while on-set during the filming of a movie. Specific details are not yet available.” Chan wasn’t in Austria and he hasn’t been hiking. He hasn’t suffered a heart attack. And he is very much alive. Whether it’s Lil Wayne or Jackie Chan, fake celebrity death stories just continue to resurface every few months. Despite how many times that fans, reps, and the actors themselves dispel these false reports, the tales continue to resurface. Jackie Chan is alive, Miley Cyrus is doing well, and Lil Wayne hasn’t died either.
