Jacks head is of course hurting. It was a big surgery. But we needed to get him out of there and see how he is doing in a normal setting. We are not home. Were at the Ronald McDonald House in NY next to the hospital. We are staying here until we know we can safely take him home to North Carolina. It all depends on how things go for him the next few days. He does have a working shunt. Yes he does have chiari. He has had 3 decompressions for it a cranial expansion and multiple surgeries for his shunt. This surgery fused his skull to C3, released his tethered spinal cord and a chiari decompression. Its a huge surgery. He is still weaning down from all the sedation medicine withdrawals. He is whimpering a lot and going in and out of sleep. We will be watching him to see if he needs to go back in. Thank you all for your support, prayers, love and light.
