Jacob, my 4 year old, duly informed me this morning that he wants to chop a tree down for Christmas. I reminded him that weve never celebrated Christmas in the house, because we are Jewish. He said I know. It doesnt need to be in the house. Then I asked him, Wait, do you just want to chop down some large pine tree with a big axe? Like in Minecraft? He replied, Yes. I let him know that we can do that anytime--no need to wait. He was overjoyed. Loved watching his brain work for an excuse to chop down a tree though. Not sure how to follow up with him on that one. Park Ridge, IL doesnt seem like the place for that sort of behavior. We should probably go visit Bret Scott and Marjie Scott so we can find a tree and chop it down.
