Jaime Carbo Marchesini (JCM) I am a plastic/visual artist who has been working since youth in the Arts mainly in painting and sculpting but also in other art forms such as digital media and music. I studied courses in Mexico city in schools such as the National Plastic Arts Academy and Real Academia de San Carlos. I have had several exhibitions collective and individual and have been working in painting and sculpting for films in the Baja Studios in the last years as a scenic artist. In 2009 I created my first large format sculpture in Tijuana, BC Mexico. In 2010 I was selected in the International Sculpture Biennal in Guadalajara Jalisco, Mexico. In 2011 I painted and sculpted for the film “Little Boy” in Baja Studios, where “Titanic” was filmed, in 2012 for All is Lost Film directed by J.C. Chandor, starring Robert Redford, and for “Clash of the Gods” a TV series for History Channel in Mexico City. I was recently selected in the State of Baja California Biennal with paintings and exhibited individually in the Baja California State Gallery with the New world Codex Series in three different cities. In summer of 2012, I was selected to attend the 13th Changchun Sculpture Symposium in China, creating the CIHUACOATL marble sculpture which is installed in the city hall of the same city. This year I have opened a studio-gallery in the Rosarito Beach Hotel named 213 Art Space, which is my current working project, where I have created the ¨Cigarros Faros¨ Series, and am currently working on the Mexican Super Atomic Modernist series.
