Jakey update: we know this is going to be a long road to get Jakey healthy. The first 2 attempts at removing he breathing tube have been unsuccessful. Jakey is going to need time to make the transition. We are all onboard with that. Last night he had some low blood pressures that they were able to handle with modifications to his sedation and fluids. He is still showing bacteria pseudomonas so they are trying some different antibiotics. Since he is sedated they are going to do an MRI because he has not had one since he was 3 years old. While here we are also working with the metabolic and genetic doctors regarding his underlying mitochondrial disorder. This little boy is 1 in a million and they are digging deeper into his underlying metabolic issues to see if they can figure him out. Obviously getting him through this respiratory issue is our main concern right now. Jake is sedated and on the ventilator but vitals are good today and he Is stable. I am trying to get some work done to keep my mind busy. Keep praying for our little warrior! Max is at school today and grandpa and grandma Hamre are helping with that. Max has been our little rock through this and he is great therapy. Slow and steady, keep your lights on #jakeslight.
