James 3:13-16 Who is wise and understanding among you? Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom. But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth. Such “wisdom” does not come down from heaven but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic. For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice. We are to live differently because we believe in Jesus. Our lives should reflect that faith, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness: all the fruits of the spirit. (Galatians 5:22-23) That being said, we all have bad days, and some days it is more difficult to be at peace than others. In those times, we must choose to live in the light of Christ instead of living from a selfish or bitter place. Be authentic, but let your perspective and example be led by the Holy Spirit: filled with wisdom and gentleness. Ask for prayer, and cry out to God, He will answer! Sometimes, this is hard work!
