Jammu, October 22: Patron of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and president of PDP Mehbooba Mufti have greeted people on the auspicious occasion of festival of Diwali. In a joint greeting message PDP leaders extended their warm greetings and good wishes to the people of the State on the auspicious and joyous occasion of Diwali – the festival of lights. PDP leaders said Diwali symbolizes the elimination of all negative forces that impede our progress. “May the glow of Diwali fills the lives of our people with happiness and prosperity”, PDP leaders stated in their message. Greeting people on the this auspicious occasion, PDP leaders further said Diwali also symbolises the triumph of good over evil, of light over darkness, of truth over untruth. “May the noble ideals of the festival prevail and usher in peace, prosperity and happiness in our lives,” they stated. “May the festival of lights be the harbinger of joy, prosperity and peace in the State of Jammu and Kashmir”, PDP leaders said. Keeping in view the lost of precious human lives in the recent floods, PDP leaders urged the people to celebrate this festival with simplicity to dedicate this festival to suffers.
