Jan. 2-5:00 p.m. I wanted to start off with some praises. Sylvia was able to sleep in her own bed last night, sleep in and get a good nights sleep. She has only had to use Tylenol for pain today and reports her pain level to be around 5. She was able to get up and fix her own breakfast and handle being taken to the doctor this afternoon. Doctors info: She is running a fever. The doctor has scheduled an ultra sound for this coming Tuesday to confirm that the fluid has been building up again. He agrees with Sylvia that this is most likely the case. If confirmed then it will be drained the same day. He also has prescribed a mild diuretic to see if it can help. The fluid previously lit up on a PET scan as a 3, a 5 is borderline as cancerous. Sylvias has lit up as a 12. The doctor refilled her pain medicine prescription....lets pray her pain continues to diminish and she doesnt need it. Sylvia asks that people specifically pray for the neuropathy that she is currently experiencing primarily in her fingers (which can at times really hurt) and also her tongue (which mainly feels like it is always burnt) and causes her food to not taste well.
