Jan 3rd-5th storm potential. A potent high pressure system will likely be in place over the northeast which will set up a cold air damming situation. A low pressure system will move through the lakes area which will put everyone on the east coast under the warm sector which will change everything over to rain eventually, but before it happens, interior portions of the northeast could see some accumulation snow. Even some areas in the Mid-Atlantic could see some mix precip before changing to rain.
