Janet and I arrived in Israel late Sunday afternoon for an intense week of visiting with government, military, intelligence, and diplomatic officials and to visit Israeli citizens to get their perspective on the recent attacks on Israel from the terrorists of Hamas, and the Obama administration’s bungling of Middle East policy—but of course at least they have admitted they “don’t have a strategy.” More like they don’t have a clue! We had dinner last night upon arrival with a British military attache to Israel and a high level contact in the Israeli government. (Names omitted for security reasons). The support Israel receives from the American people is vital. They are surrounded generally by enemies, with the exceptions of Egypt and Jordan, who while being past foes, have governments who recognize that a safe, secure and free Israel is an asset to them, and the rise of terrorists groups like ISIS, Hamas, Hezbollah, and Al Qaeda pose a clear and present danger. Today, I’ll go to the Ben Gurion International airport and get a behind the scenes look at the extraordinary lengths to which Israel goes to protect its airspace. Israel has the safest record of air travel in the world. There are lessons the US could learn and implement with our own TSA concerns. I’ll be reporting on those on my Fox show and on the daily Huckabee Report on Radio and in posts here on Facebook.
