Beginners Prayer for Protection Word Protection means = defense guard shield safety security shelter armor Verse from the Bible = I protect (my disciples- followers ) in your name John 17:12 1) Jesus prayed for His disciples 2) Jesus prayed for God’s protection for disciples then and in the future 3) He gave God glory The same old thing every day Don’t talk to strangers –don’t get in anyone’s car –watch for cars [wait for the bus to come to complete stop; with the lights flashing –why do they tell us the same ole thing? Because they care about us and want us to remember what they say They want to protect us God wants to protect us That is why we pray every morning before leaving home 1) God in heaven hear my prayer, keep me in your loving care.
