January 12 2015 - Regular Council Meeting Highlights The following is a summary of the motions made by Town Council at their meeting of January 12 2015. For a complete look at the minutes you are encouraged to visit the Town’s web site at olds.ca. • Bylaw 2015-01 was given first reading and a public hearing was set for February 23, 2015, at 7:00 p.m. in Council Chambers. • a Gold Level Sponsorship to the 2015 Alberta Student Leadership Conference in the amount of $5,000 was approved. • a “Silver Sponsorship” of $250.00 was approved for the Olds Farmer / Farmerette 2015 Bonspiel. • two tables of eight to the Olds College Gala, being held on March 6, 2015, are to be purchased for the seven members of Council and their spouses, along with the Chief Administrative Officer and his spouse (note these will be individual tickets, not sitting at the same table). • April 23 2015 was confirmed as the date for the joint dinner meeting with the Olds College Board of Governors, and further, to express appreciation to the Olds College staff and students, twelve dozen donuts are to be purchased and delivered to Olds College during the week of April 20th, 2015. • the franchise agreement between the Town of Olds and Waste Management Corporation of Canada for 2015 with a one year option, be approved. • the Olds Institute for Community & Regional Development Board report for December 2014 was received for information. • Correspondence and Information Report ending January 12, 2015 was received for information.
