January 21st, 2015..at 4:56 pm..our baby Joey passed away peacefully in the presence of David Fabus..myself and our children. In the hallway outside of his room at CHP, was a large number of our family and friends who all loved Joey very much. I cant say enough about the wonderful care he received from the Palliative Care Team and his nurse Beth. They also took very good care of all of us. With the team..the nurse and Joeys doctor and PA..his transition to Heaven was peaceful and very memorable. We were with Joey the whole time..always attentive to him..talking to him. We all had our hand prints and Joeys done with paints..and a mold too before he passed away. The paint prints of Joeys hand was in blue..his favorite color. I wanted to share a few pictures of our time with him before he passed away. I can tell you that I am so proud of him and how brave he was throught the whole ordeal for him..from beginning to end. He has touched so many lives. I, as his mother, had the precious moment of being their when he came into the world..and I was there when he left..I am so honored to say that and to say I was his Mommy and will always be...stay Joey Strong. .he may be in Heaven. .but his legacy will live on..until my last breath..I love you Joey!
