January 2nd, 2015 Buffalo Photographer Barbara Canazzi Solo Exhibition Thru My Lens... Buffalo and... Barbara Canazzi (Zammito) Show will run for 3 months, from December 2014 through February 2015. thegalleryatsportsfocuspt.weebly/gallery-shows.html Barbara Canazzi was born in Buffalo and has lived here her entire life. She is truly a “city girl”. For much of her young life, Barbara lived in the old first ward, across from the Standard Elevator on Kentucky St. The elevators became the focal point for her art due to their intricacies and sheer size. Now, with the renewed interest in this part of Buffalo’s history, the grain elevators have become a starting point for her photographic subjects. Barbara’s photographs are not only frozen moments in time; they are also experiments in “painting through photography”. Each photograph highlights the subject beyond what her camera captures. Each image is a personal window into Barbara’s world. Canazzi’s work will be on display for 3 months at Sports Focus, 531 Virginia Street just off Main in Buffalo’s Allentown District. The opening will be part of the First Friday art openings on December 5th, 2014, January 2nd, 2015, and February 6th, 2015.
