January 7, 2015 12:15 AM Todays Update: this is for Tues. Jan 6th, today Taylor got an email from her AP History teacher telling what chapter theyre studying and she couldnt even wait until James got off work to go get her book out of her locker she wanted me to call Grandmama to go get it so shes been working on that all day reading and taking her notes that are due Friday but her teacher said she can turn hers in anytime. I told her if she keeps going like she was going shed be turning them in probably tomorrow. Lol. Also on a positive note Taylor feels so good about her leg shes been walking on it and not using her walker at all. It makes me a nervous wreck because I cant imagine how horrible it would be if she fell! Im still real scared about her being shaky but she feels real confident walking without the walker. We are down to one more day!! Tomorrow the 8th she goes back to the doctor and were very confident she will get to have the tracheotomy, the feeding tube and her stitches in her neck removed. Just pray every thing is ok with her trach and theres no infection or anything and that she can swallow so that we can increase her food to something a little more like real food! We will see the nurse again today, and shell continue to come for awhile even after Taylors doctor appt tomorrow but getting all that removed gets us one step closer to not needing nurses. But we will start the process of healing with the speech therapist and the physical therapist really soon. Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers!
