Japan Trip Update! Hi friends and family, just want to send out an update what has been happening this past week during our trip. God has continued to teach us many things about His work in Japan and the greatness of His Name and glory, while continuing to shape us into the image of Christ. We have continued to work with Shiogama Bible Baptist Church and have joined in with their weekly outreach ministries to the community. Our mission and goal has been to evangelize to the local community by showing them that the local church loves and cares about them. Relationships are everything in Japan. Often in the States, new Christians believe before they belong to a community. Here in Japan, people usually belong to a community before they believe and make a confession of faith. Some highlights of the week have include helping lead an English events, kids outreach, and cleaning up tsunami debris in efforts to rebuild and minister to an oyster village that was destroyed by the tsunami. During our time we have seen many areas that have been devastated by the tsunami. The tsunami affects every part of life for the people in Sendai. It will forever be a point where everything changed for lives of those who lived here. Many locals are still struggling financially and emotionally as they recover from the tragedy . However, God is using this devastating event to reach people with the Gospel in ways that have never happened before. Please pray for Japan and that God will continue to glorify Himself. Japan needs churches and missionaries. Please consider going and pray that God will continue to raise up people to go and reach the largest unreached homogenous people group in the world.
