Jasmyn Chan, a 14 year old Chinese Girl from Sheffield known by her friends as Jazzy, died in a hit-and-run collision last night. The 14 year old was crossing the road with a group of friends in the Normanton Hill area in Sheffield at around 9.20pm when Jaymyn and her friend Tia collided with a car. The callous motorist stopped for a moment then sped off to leave 14-year-old Jasmyn Chan dying in the road. Her friend Tia Tucker, 12, lay beside her with serious leg injuries. South Yorkshire Police are now searching for the driver involved in the collision. The car is described as small and dark-coloured, possibly green, and maybe a Volkswagen or a Honda Police have confirmed that initial accounts suggest Jasmyn put her friends life before her own. We are very sad to hear the news and send our thoughts and prayers to her family and friends. We hope they catch the person responsible.
