Jason Brown--born May 1st 1979---died March 18th 2006----I thought this year, son, instead of just posting your picture, Id catch you up on some of the things youve missed since you decided to leave us 8 years ago today. I only have 2 rules, buddy. Rule #1--Im not going to say how much everyone misses you. and Rule #2--Im not going to cry. Your daughter, Kaya, is growing up fast, shes 10 now and she looks just like you, makes your mom happy, she says she sees you everytime she looks at her. She has a little brother & sister now and is a fantastic big sister!..your brother Derek is doing great!! he has a good career, a beautiful wife and a precious son, his name is Jay Elliott Traver, named after you.....your sister Stacey is still in Florida and doing well, her and Mitch have 4 BOYS, and I do mean boys!!.....couple of your best friends are married with children of their own, Brian Pietraccini has an adorable little girl (Ive never met her but have seen about a thousand pics!!!).Rich Butcofski also is married and has a little girl, also adorable...Norm is seeing someone and looks more content than Ive ever seen him before...I see some of your other friends at times, they always give me a genuine good to see you handshake or hug and ALWAYS hug your mom!!! Makes us both happy!!...your favorite cousin Nicole is married to another of your buddies, Aaron Pietraccini, and has 2 boys, (I want you know hes a good husband and a great dad, before you start to flip out!!).....couple other cousins had sons this year, Matt Rice and Brian Gula (yeah right, who would have saw that coming), both are great fathers.....death took some of our friends this year, Ill only mention a few, my brother (your Uncle Hiram, died in September), Big Ern Ernie Ashbridge died after a long illness (didnt make it any easier to lose him though) and just a week ago our good friend Kirk Williams was killed in a tragic motorcycle accident, you remember Kirk, he taught me to be an auctioneer than I passed that knowledge on to you (and you were good at it, man!!)....all this death is making me a bit weary but I guess thats the penalty we pay for being given the gifts of large family and long lives...just doesnt seem fair sometimes.....your mom is just as beautiful as the day I met her (bet that doesnt surprise you!!), I truly dont know what I did for fate to see fit to bless me with her but I give thanks each and every day!! she was deeply affected by your leaving but she tries as best she can, Im very proud of her. She misses you so very much as do we all........damn....I just broke Rule #1....well, I guess thats okay since I broke Rule #2 about 500 words ago....guess that about covers it for now...gotta get to work, auction tonight, need to stand in front of 250 people and pretend that today is just another day......I hope you found what you were looking for and I want you to know that you are in our thoughts & hearts each and every day....Love...Dad
