Jason Jones of the Detroit Lions is an absolutely unbelievable story. Talk about a feel good story, Jason is living it. Even though the Lions have had mostly losing seasons since the 1950s, long before Jason was born, he grew up in Detroit as an avid fan of the Detroit Lions. He graduated from Southfield Lathrup, a Detroit suburb. Jason attended Eastern Michigan University. He has been in the NFL 7 years. He has signed 8 contracts, two with the Lions THIS season. In fact, for one game this year in between contracts, Jason sat in the end zone as a fan. Against the Vikings this past Sunday, Jason had TWO sacks and he BLOCKED a Vikings field goal!!! Yesterday (Monday), his high school, Southfield Lathrup, retired his jersey.
