Jason came to law later in life, which created a depth of experience. After serving four years in the Air Force, Jason was a data field engineer and contractor for several technology firms across the United States. He installed database integrated voice systems for Interactive NW (custom Lucent software developer), designed and developed Wide and Metropolitan Area Data Networks for Electric Lightwave and Integra Telecom, served as a year-2000 compliance and design engineer for ADP and Illinois Power, started his own multi-media design firm, and even built aluminum jet boats for a while. While attending law school, Jason clerked at Bonneville Power Administration and identified several million dollars of contract obligations owed to Bonneville, identified potential fraud, and was the subject matter expert on wireless and dark fiber communications. Later, Jason joined the Oregon Division of Finance and Corporate Securities and clerked for the Chief of Enforcement. This is just a small look - stay tuned to learn more. Jason is a member of the Oregon State Bar, the American Bar Association, the Marion County Bar Association, the Oregon Trial Lawyers Association, and is admitted to practice in the United States Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, the United States District Court for the District of Oregon and all Oregon State Courts. Jason enjoys music, long distance running, sports of all varieties, cheering on his kids and laughing as often as possible with his wife, Deborah, of fifteen years.
