These concepts properly articulate good governance (transparency, accountability and development) in all spheres of human efforts. These concepts are also deeply rooted in most cultures and societies. The execise of unity, socialism and democracy, demands both formal and informal mechanisms which this party seeks to propagate in Cameroon. USDP is therefore inspired by the need for true Unity, Socialism and effective Democracy in Cameroon. USDP believes that in a diversified society like Cameroon, we need to respect people’s views and equally show a desire to improve on peoples quality of life. The existing political forces in Cameroon seem to be groping in the dark even in the 21st century when governments, nations and societies tend to be moving forward towards achieving meaningful goals for their people. The application of true unity, social cohesion, effective governance and democracy in Cameroon has met with great resistance and challenges by those who have piloted the course of the political, social, economic and moral life of the nation for more than five decades now. Most political agendas that have championed the scene seem to be riddled with the spirit of divide-and-rule, hyper capitalism, hyper secularism, injustice, and discriminations have dominated and overshadowed the regime in Cameroon for two decades. United Socialist Democratic Party therefore, shall create a platform through which Cameroonians everywhere in the world shall realise their dreams and aspirations by actively participating in the peaceful pursuit of a just and democratic political environment. USDP also believes that a secular political environment alone is harmful to our society, and that we need a better and balanced society with good morals, ethical and civil conditions. In response to the anxiety of Cameroonians both at home and abroad, especially the Youths, USDP seeks to address, redress and challenge unfair political policies that have menaced the geo-metrical development of the society, economically, politically, and THE USDP’s MISSION: • To encourage and influence the culture of excellence and good living. • To promote unity, socialist and democratic principles in public policies. • To support and promote morals, the family, and life policies for the benefit of all Cameroonians.
