Jefferson, Louisiana. Colleen has endured more in her short 2.5 years than most dogs do in a lifetime. The emotions associated with being abandoned then reunited then abandoned again have rattled this innocent dog in a way that is so brutal and so betraying. How this dog with her heart shattered in a million pieces still musters the courage to be kind is the real testament to who Colleen is at the core. Colleen misses her family. She misses her home. She misses her life. She has done absolutely nothing wrong to deserve this punishment and abandonment but we cannot explain this to her which is the most frustrating part.
