Jelas kini kenaikan 20sen sebelum budget 2015 dibentangkan melambangkan tindakan yang gopoh malah sia-sia. Trend penurunan minyak dunia telah bermula sejak September. Malah sekarang subsidi bakal tiada kerana harga minyak sudah terlalu rendah. So my 5 talking points are : 1. At the current price we are not being subsidized, ladies and gentlemen we are paying sale taxes for oil. Ron 97 at 110dllrs per barrel back in Jan was 2.55, now at 80dllrs its still 2.55? Clearly once u declared ron97 is based on market prices, Malaysians became more calculative than ever. 2. Due to the incompetency of your advisors, the 20 cent unnecessary hike that in the end will last only for 2 months, caused Najibs popularity to drop, increased prices on necessities, increase on sand, cement and brick prices and domino domino domino effect on our economy. And lets not forget the cyberspace was flooded with 20sen 20sen 20sen 20sen 20sen 20sen.. Try making ground on gaining back the lost support. 3. If Najib endured for a couple of weeks, denied the hike and declares lower oil prices for the nation end of December , he will give Malaysians closure for this grieving year of 2014. 4. Losing support is already a serious matter. These recent events further highlight weakness in decision making and good-governance. The people will record this and certainly will by the Pakatan. 5. Its NOT OK to make mistakeS when all is at stake for Malaysia, I wonder with the hefty price tag that comes with consultants, what are they doing? 2015 will be a challenging year for Malaysia, GST, low income {due to low palm oil and petroleum prices}, loss of buying power, and the evergreen issue of oppression on middle incomers{ 70% of the taxpayers} , while the Commerce/business society rake millions untaxed while enjoying lollipops of subsidies from the government. If you cant even handle this, try GST next year. Dear Allah please save our country.
