Jenny Parsons From 20th April:- Local election time again. If you can. When you are approached by a canvasser ask for their candidates policy on domestic abuse. Insist on taking their leaflets and make sure you have email address for the canditate, the letter you have sent to your MP, email to the candidate. They want our votes, we want our voice. I did do this last night. I told him that I was a victim of Domestic Abuse and that altough I had escaped I was now being abused via the courts by my ex, whoaltough is a dangerous man, the illeducated judge has now granted unsupervised contact, putting myself and my children at great risk. the elderly mans jaw hit the floor (possible that someone wasnt telling him to piss off!!) as he was trying to think of what to say, and came back with "go and see Carol (the Tory candidate) at her surgery, call her or write to her". So you know what I am. But I think the canvasses might be avoiding my house from now on....
