Jeremiah 7:23 ... Obey me and I will be Your God and you will be my people. Walk in all the ways I command you that it may go well with you. Hallelujah There are three key benefits that accrue to anyone who obeys: 1. God will be his/her God And who is God? a) He has no beginning and no end b) Theres no place where His presence is not felt c) He reigns over the nations Ps 48:8 d)He is the Creator of everything e) He is all-powerful 1 Chr 29:11 f) He is all-knowing g) He is holy; no corruption in Him h) He is a Loving Father 1 John 3:1 And many more... 2. He/she joins the my people group These are a separated people. A people that belong to God. A people that enjoy divine intimacy. A people that are taken to the deep waters where goodness resides. 3. Things will go well with he/she that obeys When we obey, we are in essence helping ourselves. Shall we pray Dear heavenly Father, thank You for Your word on obedience. That when we obey, we have You as our God and this alone is so fulfilling. It is fulfilling given the benefits that would be tapped from You. The benefits are mind blowing and I humbly want to be connected to You through obedience. Help us foreground what You are saying to us tonight so we may run with it. May Your grace cause us to refocus in a way that glorifies You. May this grace help us advance in an uncommon walk. A walk that is informed by everything divine. A walk that is centred on the Rock. A walk that is driven by obedience to Your word. And what an assurance we have when we do this! What an assurance of having everything going well in and out of season. Thank You Lord for this word. May we be sanctified by it; may the truth therein keep us safe from deception in Jesus name, amen.
