Jeremy Maestas deserves a ton of credit for the shared vision, energy, wisdom, science and the accelerating momentum of the Sage Grouse Initiative. I (Deborah Richie, Communications Director) would personally like to give him a big compliment to start the day. Jeremy has just returned to his prior position as state biologist for the NRCS in Oregon after serving nationally as the SGI Technical Lead for the past three years. Were going to miss him SO MUCH. But lucky Oregon to have him back full-time there. And we know he continues to be a champion for sage grouse and all the wildlife of the sagebrush-steppe, along with sustainable ranching. Seth Gallagher of the Rocky Mountain Bird Observatory will be taking the reins from Jeremy and we know hell be terrific, and has showed that in his dedication so far. So SGI keeps on rolling!
