Jesus H Christ.......television as we know it is dead. The Muppets are one of the most iconic television shows and collection of characters of all time. I grew up loving the exploits of Kermit, Fozzie, Beaker and co and take great delight in watching the old shows on DVD with my kids. One of the favourite films of both my daughters is the new Muppets movie from a couple of years ago which i also love and which gave us one of the greatest songs in all of moviedom in Lifes A Happy Song. It seemed that life was good after many worried that the Muppets would lose their sheen when the Disney Company bought the rights to them. Following the sale of the Muppets rights to Disney the Henson company continue to puppeteer under the guidance of Brian Henson.....the son of the legend that is Jim Henson, the man whos vision gave us the Muppets and Sesame Street all those years ago. Im pretty sure Brian Henson doesnt care in the slightest but he should hang his head in shame at the involvement of his fathers name in That Puppet Gameshow which is one of the greatest insults to the senses of all time. Ignoring the so called celebs involved and the fact that the host puppet is voiced by Vernon Kaye this show is basically taking the whole concept of puppeteering and more inportantly the good Henson name and not only flogging it to death but then driving over it in several times before picking up the corpse and throwing it over a cliff after pissing all over it. Right now Jim Henson is rolling over in his grave at this shite and whilst im sure most dont care and Disney are sure to maintain the high standards of the Muppets after the box office success of the last Muppet movie as a life long fan of Jims work i just felt like venting my disgust at this, the worst show in tv history (even worse than friends).
