Jesus Himself said, I am the resurrection and the life. The person - TopicsExpress

Jesus Himself said, I am the resurrection and the life. The person who believes in me, even though he dies, will live. Indeed, everyone who lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe that? John 11:25-26. I am the resurrection and the life. This is another of Jesus seven I Am statements. In the face of Lazarus death, Martha, his sister, was encouraged to believe that he would live. This hope is rooted in the VERY Person and Power of God the Father and of Jesus by the Holy Spirit (John 5:21). * The Father GIVES LIFE: John 5:21, 26; 1 John 1:2; 2:16. * The Son GIVES LIFE: John 1:4; 5:21, 26; 14:6; 20:31; Romans 6:23; Colossians 3:4. * The Holy Spirit GIVES LIFE: Job 33:4; John 6:63; Romans 8:2, 10; 2 Corinthians 3:6. Therefore: It is God WHO GIVES LIFE: Genesis 2:7; Job 10:2, 12; Psalm 42:8; Ephesians 4:18. I am the resurrection and the life. With this statement, Jesus overthrows anything and everything we know about the law of entropy, the law that governs decay, destruction, death, and the odd way things work in this old world. For a long, long time, death has ruled over men like a tyrant. This is NOT the land of the living my friends. Would you be shocked to know Biblically is is the land of the dead?? Humorists and philosophers throughout the ages have understood the basic fear of death, and the basic dilemma of death. “Neither in the hearts of men nor in the manners of society will there be a lasting peace until we outlaw death,” Albert Camus,1913-1960, author, journalist, and philosopher. “I don’t want to achieve immortality through my work. I want to achieve it through not dying,” Woody Allen, director, movie star, satirist. Jesus stated, He who believes in Me, though he may day, he shall live: Because of His own death, burial, and resurrection from the dead, Jesus is the champion over death. While the ancients feared death, the Christian can only fear dying. The Believer will never die, but simply make an instant transition from an old life of Adam, with its sickness, sorrow, and subsequent death, to a new life in Jesus Christ, of Everlasting Peace, Joy, and Contentment by the Holy Spirit. Just think about how grand the claim of Jesus is here. I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.: Who but only God HIMSELF could possibly say such impossible things? Do you believe this? Jesus challenges Martha not to debate or intellectual assent, but to belief. May I ask: Do you believe this?
