Jesus (Yeshua) is Christmas Both the old testament and the new testament of the bible is full of scriptures concerning the birth and life of Jesus (Yeshua). The old testament and its prophets prophesied of the redemption of mankind through Gods mercy and grace, which would come through the pure blood of Gods sacrifice, untouched by the sins of mankind. Therefore, the Lord Himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a Son, and will call Him Immanuel. Isaiah 7:14 (NIV). The name Immanuel means God with us. God was coming to us to dwell among us and give Himself as our sacrifice for the sins of the world. For to us, a Child is Born (Jesus) (Yeshua); to us, a Son is given; and the government will be on His shoulders. And He (Jesus) will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6 (NIV). What a marvelous gift to the world that God was giving us! For this reason, He (Jesus) (Yeshua) had to be made like them, fully human in every way, in order that He might become a merciful and faithful high priest in service to God, and that He might make atonement for the sins of the people. Hebrews 2:17 (NIV). There was no sacrifice of animals that could remove the penalty of sins from mankind. The blood of animals only covered the sins of the people for a year at a time. He (Jesus) (Yeshua) did not enter by means of the blood of goats and calves; but He entered the Most Holy Place once for all by His own blood, thus obtaining eternal redemption. The blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a heifer sprinkled on those who are ceremonially unclean sanctify them, so that they are outwardly clean. How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we may serve the living God! For this reason, Christ is the Mediator of a new covenant, that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance--now that He has died as a ransom to set them free from the sins committed under the first covenant. Hebrews 9:12-15 (NIV). The new testament of the bible announces the fulfillment of prophecy concerning God coming to us on earth in the seed of a baby, wrapped in flesh, given unto a young virgin by the Holy Spirit Himself. But, the angel said to her, Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God.You will conceive and give birth to a Son, and you are to call him Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David, and He (Jesus) (Yeshua) will reign over Jacobs descendants forever; His kingdom will never end. Luke 1:30-33 (NIV). God also told Joseph to not be afraid of marrying Mary because this Child to be born was of the Holy Spirit. The virgin will conceive and give birth to a Son, and they will call Him Immanuel (which means God with us). When Joseph woke up, he did what the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took Mary home as his wife. But, he (Joseph) did not consummate their marriage until she gave birth to a Son. And he gave Him the name Jesus. Matthew 1:23-25 (NIV). No human seed could interfere with the birth of God in the flesh among us because this was to be a divine birth unmade by human flesh Gods messengers carried the good news to even the shepherds in the area. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But, the angel said to them, Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today, in the town of David, a Savior (Jesus) (Yeshua) has been born to you; He is the Messiah, the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a Baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger. Luke 2:9-12 (NIV). It was the love of God for us that brought us total redemption of our sins through the divine baby (Jesus) who came to die in our place. For God so loved the world that He gave His One and Only Son (Jesus) (Yeshua), that whoever believes in Him shall not perish; but, have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him (Jesus). Whoever believes in Him (Jesus) (Yeshua) is not condemned; but, whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of Gods One and only Son (Jesus). John 3:16-18 (NIV). This is how God showed His love among us: He sent his One and Only Son (Jesus) (Yeshua) into the world that we might live through Him. This is love: not that we loved God; but, that He loved us and sent His Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; but, if we love one another, God lives in us and His (Gods) love is made complete in us. 1 John 4:9-12 (NIV). God took on flesh to become one of us, we who were created in His image and likeness. God is spirit, and His worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth. John 4:24 (NIV). Since the children have flesh and blood, He (Jesus) too shared in their humanity, so that by His death, He might break the power of him who holds the power of death--that is, the devil-- and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death. Hebrews 2:14-15 (NIV). Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord! Peace in Heaven and glory in the highest! Luke 19:38, Psalms 118:26, Matthew 23:39, John 12:13 (NIV). Yes, truly blessed is He (Jesus) (Yeshua) Who came in the name of the Lord; and Who is coming again soon to collect the saints of God unto Himself! Are You ready? Jesus (Yeshua) is Christmas (a celebration of Christ)!
