Jesus is GOD: A study for Muslims (1)In Islam, Jesus was: -Born of a *virgin* Mary -He is the Word of God -He is the Spirit of God -He is sinless -He did alot of miracles -He was the only one who didnt die, but God raised Him up -He is coming again to judge the world in the second coming Knowing all these characteristics of Christ in Islam, how come its concluded Hes just a man. if Hes just a man, why is He born of a *virgin* by the the *Spirit of God* and that He is the *Word of God* (wisdom of God)? If Hes just a man, how come He is sinless? I thought humans are sinful, and only God is sinless? and Mohammed is sinful (sura 48:2)?? If Hes just a man, why only He did miracles, and not even Mohammed did? If Hes just a man, why did God raise Him up and didnt let Him die? If Hes just a man, what authority does He have to judge the world? Judging the world means judging each and every person based on the works they did; If Hes just a man, how would He ever know ALL the works of man, the hidden and the known, of all his lifetime of every human in this world? If Hes just a man, why is He given MORE credibility than any other man in this world? If He is all of that, then where are His teachings in the quran? If Hes that amazing and sinless and all-knowing and powerful man AND the Word of God, and He came on earth, why doesnt the quran have His teachings or His sayings? Hes given so much credibility and power and He came on earth and lived, then where are His teachings? (2) On prophet Muhammad How come Muhammad married 11 women, one of them 6 years old, and the hadith describes his physical relationship with that girl? Aisha said: the Apostle of allah maried me when i was 7 years old. The narrator Sulieman said: or 6 years old. He had INTERCOURSE with me when I was 9 years old. - (Sunan Abu Dawud vol.2, book 5, ch.700, no.2116, p.569) What im trying to say, is why did Mohammed have so many wives, one of which was a little girl? how come he killed? (3)The Muslims repeatedly claim that the Bible has been corrupted and that the Quran is the only trustworthy scripture in existence. This is why Muslims often attack the Bible. But this cannot be according to the Quran. The Quran says that the books of Moses, the Psalms, and the gospel were all given by God. Torah - We gave Moses the Book and followed him up with a succession of messengers, (Sura 2:87).1 Psalms - We have sent thee inspiration, as we sent it to Noah and the Messengers after him: we sent inspiration to Abraham, Ismail, Isaac, Jacob and the Tribes, to Jesus, Job, Jonah, Aaron, and Solomon, and to David We gave the Psalms, (4:163). Gospel - It is He Who sent down to thee (step by step), in truth, the Book, confirming what went before it; and He sent down the Law (of Moses) and the Gospel (of Jesus) before this, as a guide to mankind, and He sent down the criterion (of judgement between right and wrong), (3:3). Also, And in their footsteps We sent Jesus the son of Mary, confirming the Law that had come before him: We sent him the Gospel: therein was guidance and light, and confirmation of the Law that had come before him: a guidance and an admonition to those who fear Allah, (5:46). We see that the Quran states that the Torah, the Psalms, and the Gospel were all given by God. With this we Christians heartily agree. But, the Muslims claim that the Bible is corrupted and full of contradictions. If that is so, then it would seem they do not believe the Quran since the Quran says that the Word of God cannot be altered: Rejected were the messengers before thee: with patience and constancy they bore their rejection and their wrongs, until Our aid did reach them: there is none that can alter the words (and decrees) of Allah. Already hast thou received some account of those messengers, (6:34). The word of thy Lord doth find its fulfilment in truth and in justice: None can change His words: for He is the one who heareth and knoweth all, (6:115). For them are glad tidings, in the life of the present and in the Hereafter; no change can there be in the words of Allah. This is indeed the supreme felicity, (10:64). When Muhammed (570 - 632) was alive, he claimed to receive the revelation of the Quran from Allah. This means that at that time the Bible, which was in existence, could not have been corrupted because the Quran states that Gods word cannot be corrupted. So my question is When and where was the Bible corrupted, since the Quran says that the Torah, the Psalms, and the Gospel are from Allah and Allahs words cannot be changed? (4) how come the quran often attacks Christians and Jews and not Hindus or Buddhists or other religions? why does it only concentrate so much on Christians and Judaism as being infidels? what about the other religions ? shouldnt God be aware of all other religions since Hes all-knowing? (5) Muslims always claim that the Bible is corrupted, but the quran made many mentions to the Bible, if they claim it corrupt, so where is the uncorrupted version? how come Islam doesnt provide an uncorrupted version? May God open your heart Muslim brethren!
