Jesus said, Hinder not the little children to come unto me. For the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these. My husband and I are becoming Foster parents. Weve agreed to a boy between the ages of 5-10. Children in foster care or orphanages carry much confusion and brokenness; many times victims of circumstance and sufferings due to the brokenness, pain and sin of others in their lives. I cant help but to think of my Lord Jesus upon the cross crying out, IT IS FINISHED! The circle of abuse, rejection, emptiness and pain in the lives of these precious hurting children CAN be broken with the power and love of Christ in their lives; exemplified through those whose hearts have been pricked to do as Jesus said......to hinder NOT the little children to come to Him, and to truly grasp the depth of that. It is always the right time to do what is right. We are never to withhold doing good, extending the love of Christ or to cease defending the less fortunate. Until we really started praying, saying, God, what more can WE do, we were not moved to action by faith, but since we asked God and seriously understand and more importantly, KNOW our responsibility as those who have been rescued out the bondage of sin and death, how can we not, by faith be obedient and help bring these dear precious little ones to the feet of Jesus?
